About me…

Hi, I'm Karla.

I've always been a listener rather than a talker. Curious, a bit obsessive about the things I'm drawn to. That's just how my brain works.

A season of my own anxiety is what led me to study counselling. Pilates came later, when I started training just two months postpartum, because I needed something for my body, not just my mind. Yin yoga and breathwork found me after that, during my own recovery.

Talk therapy alone wasn't enough. Something shifted when I found yin yoga and felt what rest actually feels like, maybe for the first time. That's when I understood recovery has to work with the body, not just the mind.

I'm a Coda. A native Auslan user, raised by Deaf parents. It's not a professional choice, it's who I am, and it's shaped everything I know about communication and belonging. I've spent seven years working alongside the Deaf community in clinical spaces, and I care about building spaces that work for Deaf and hearing women alike.

What keeps me doing this work is watching women, face to face, in retreats and in 1-1 sessions, work through their own people-pleasing, perfectionism and generational wounds. Looking at the women in my own family, and the patterns passed down through them, taught me more than any textbook.

Healing here isn't about becoming someone new. It's about recovering the parts of you that have always been there, underneath the overwhelm, the people-pleasing, the self-doubt, the expectations.

Small, soft steps count as real progress. You're allowed to take up space exactly as you are, imperfect, in progress, still figuring it out.
